Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
Armor of Love 3 -
Let's begin in prayer: Father I lay down all my understandings and insights at your feet, and say not my will but Your will be done in my learning and growing in True Authority. Help me to know You more as I study to show myself approved, a workman/woman having my senses excersised to know good from evil, in Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
Now, one of the scriptures to focus on in this 3rd discussion of the Armor of Love is Galatians 2:20: Let's read this below in all 3 versions. And remember to take notes as the Holy Spirit leads and guides you in your journal.
21st Century King James Version (KJ21) Passage Galatians 2:20:
20I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me. And the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Amplified Bible (AMP) Passage Galatians 2:20:
20I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
The Message (MSG) Passage Galatians 2:20:
Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not "mine," but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I am not going to go back on that.
------------------------------------------------
So our new life, which Jesus prayed about in John 17, is described in this scripture and begins with
Or as other scriptures states:
So could we summarize per the leading of the Holy Spirit - that Greater is He (Christ) in me/us than he (the enemy of our souls) that is in the world.
True Authority is part of who we are and whose we are, as well as the reason Jesus paid the price for us. So we can and do count it all joy when we 'fall' into diverse temptations - knowing this that the trying of our faith (which is the faith of the Son of God) alway works patience in us - and when patience has it's completed full work time in us, we are found to be pefect and entire wanting nothing: see scripture below James 1-5:
1James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
2My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
1JAMES, A servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes scattered abroad [among the Gentiles in the dispersion]: Greetings ([a]rejoice)!
2Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations.
3Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience.
4But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.
5If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of [b]the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him.
The Message Version: James 1
1I, James, am a slave of God and the Master Jesus, writing to the twelve tribes scattered to Kingdom Come: Hello! Faith Under Pressure
2 -4Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.
5 If you don't know what you're doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help.
------------------------------------------
Rejoice and be humble before the Lord God almighty!!! Amen.
