Heal Our Land

We live in the United States of America. We live in a land that was created and founded under the precept that there is one God in Heaven and that this nation would give honor to that God. We live in a nation that once placed the moral concepts of God into our schools, our homes, and even the laws of our country. We live in a country that believed in freedom of religion and not simply freedom from religion. This nation has been blessed do to this. Though brothers and sisters in Christ there is today- a problem. The enemy of God runs mad though our country seeking anyone he can destroy. The moral standard in which we once lived is crumbling and God is calling his people to be a voice in the darkness. Let not the rocks cry out, but may every man and women of God stand and be not afraid to speak what God has laid upon our hearts. In a nation where pornography is the leading entertainment industry. And where 10 billion dollars a year or 27 million dollars a day, go to feed the eyes of our children. Where close to 5200 crimes are committed a day, 4000 abortions a day, and apx. 1110 people a day are murdered. This brothers and sisters is a call to stand. For far to long God’s people have chosen to stay silent. The Church can no longer go on this way. God is about to due a NEW thing. Perhaps not new as in never happened, but rather has not simply been seen for many years. A great stirring is about to happen in the body of Christ. In Ezekiel 22:30 we read about standing in the gap. It reads "I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none. God is looking for those people that will stand in this gap today. But the scripture goes on to say what God plans on doing if none are found. In verse 31 of the same chapter it reads: So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger, bringing down on their own heads all they have done, declares the Sovereign LORD." We live in a great country, founded on principles of love, justice, and equality for a man, though in the many distractions corrupt behavior and moral decay has slipped in and now we as the church need get serious and know there is a job at hand. God has promise though if we will humble ourselves and pray he will heal our land. If we read in 2 Chronicles 7:14 it reads: if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. This the United States of America and to be true we must also be a united people. As Christians we may not all agree in all matters, but what we can do is agree to unite in our common interest and stand as a light refusing to give way to darkness. Shoulder to shoulder, hand in hand the body of Christ can be a voice that will shake the nations. Today let your light be seen, and the truth you hold known. Let us rebuild a nation under God.
