Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer

VERSE:

Psalm 88 (King James Version)

O lord God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee:2Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry; For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave. I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength: Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand. Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps. Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Selah. Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth. Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee. Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah. Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in destruction? Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness? But unto thee have I cried, O LORD; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee. LORD, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me? I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: while I suffer thy terrors I am distracted. Thy fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut me off. They came round about me daily like water; they compassed me about together. Lover and friend hast thou put far from me, and mine acquaintance into darkness.

COMMENTARY:

Here we see, The psalmist pours out his soul to God in lamentation. The first words of the psalmist are the only words of comfort and support in this psalm. Thus greatly may good men be afflicted, and such dismal thoughts may they have about their afflictions, and such dark conclusion may they make about their end, through the power of melancholy and the weakness of faith. He complained most of God's displeasure. Even the children of God's love may sometimes think themselves children of wrath and no outward trouble can be so hard upon them as that. Probably the psalmist described his own case, yet he leads to Christ. Thus are we called to look unto Jesus, wounded and bruised for our iniquities. But the wrath of God poured the greatest bitterness into his cup. This weighed him down into darkness and the deep. Departed souls may declare God's faithfulness, justice, and lovingkindness; but deceased bodies can neither receive God's favours in comfort, nor return them in praise. The psalmist resolved to continue in Prayer, and the more so, because deliverance did not come speedily. Though our Prayers are not soon answered, yet we must not give over Praying. The greater our troubles, the more earnest and serious we should be in Prayer. Nothing grieves a child of God so much as losing sight of Him; nor is there any thing he so much dreads as God's casting off his soul. If the sun be clouded, that darkens the earth; but if the sun should leave the earth, what a dungeon would it be! Even those designed for God's favours, may for a time suffer His terrors. See how deep those terrors wounded the psalmist. If friends are put far from us by providences, or death, we have reason to look upon it as affliction. Such was the calamitous state of a good man. But the pleas here used were peculiarly suited to Christ. And we are not to think that the Holy Jesus suffered for us only at Gethsemane and on Calvary. His whole life was labour and sorrow; He was afflicted as never man was, from His youth up. He was prepared for that death of which He tasted through life. No man could share in the sufferings by which other men were to be redeemed. All forsook Him, and fled. Oftentimes, Blessed Jesus, do we forsake thee; but do not forsake us, O take not thy Holy Spirit from us.

PRAYER:

Beloved Blessed Almighty God, we come into Your Holy presence this day in Prayer and Thanksgiving. Thanking You Lord and Savior our God, for giving us this day, for keeping all harm and danger from our beings, and for not leaving or forsaking any of us. Thank You Lord God that You saw fit to Bless us all to be here in the land of the living and that You have a purpose for each and every one of us Your children. Thank You Father God, Thank You. we offer to You this day, whatever we do, say, or think, into Your loving care, and ask that You continue to lead and guide us. Father if any of us have sinned we ask that You forgive us, and that You send Your Holy Spirit into our lives to lead and guided us in the way in which You would have us go. Thank You Lord God, that we know that You told us that; All unrighteousness is sin, Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, If we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin, By sinning against the brethren and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ, Encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called 'Today,' so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin, Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will not take into account. Thank You Precious Lord God, Thank You Lord Christ Jesus. Thank You. Lord God, we are so full of joy this day, and want to give You all the Glory, for surly You have done great things; "How blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! O LORD, they walk in the light of Your countenance. In Your name they rejoice all the day, and by Your righteousness they are exalted, You have put gladness in my heart, more than when their grain and new wine abound, For you will go out with joy and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands, The sound of joyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the LORD does valiantly, Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting. He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed, shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him, I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, my soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels, The righteous man will be glad in the LORD and will take refuge in Him; and all the upright in heart will glory, My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth offers praises with joyful lips, But let the righteous be glad; let them exult before God; yes, let them rejoice with gladness." O' BLESS THAT WONDERFUL NAME OF JESUS, THE ONLY NAME BY WHICH ANY MAN CAN BE SAVED, THE LORD of lords, KING of kings! Most Holy Father God, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, we ask this day that You Bless each and every man, woman, and child that stand in need. we ask that You touch their bodies, their minds, children, their homes, their marriages, jobs. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Father God, we know that You have told us that; But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy but now you have received mercy, For you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness, For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance from until the end, You also, as living stones are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ, You are the salt of the earth, You are the light of the world, Now you are Christ's body, and individually members of it, For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them, So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household, Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, And having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness, Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Thank You Precious Lord God, that we know our identity in You and that You have promised us that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and that every voice that speaks out against us shall be bought to great shame. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus our God, that we are not afraid of any man, for we know that; "The LORD helps them and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in Him, Those who hate you will be clothed with shame, and the tent of the wicked will be no longer, The LORD shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you; they will come out against you one way and will flee before you seven ways, For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you, In famine He will redeem you from death, and in war from the power of the sword, To grant us that we, being rescued from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the righteous, so that the righteous will not put forth their hands to do wrong, For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, and I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD, When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him, His heart is upheld, he will not fear, until he looks with satisfaction on his adversaries, THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME? Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, that we proclaim that we have satan under our feet, and that there is nothing that man can do to any of us, outside of Your divine Will and that we are well able to Stand, for You have told us; "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. "And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. O Bless that wonderful name of Christ Jesus, Thank You Most Holy Father God, Blessed Savior Christ Jesus, who is Lord of our lives. Thank You, Heavenly Father. we love You Precious Lord, and give You all the Glory.

Now unto You, who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to You be the power and glory, to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Yourself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives, we give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's body and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is Lord Of Our Lives. Thank You Beloved Savior, Thank You.

Amen.
