Our Prayer For Monday, October 12, 2009
VERSE:
Psalm 39 (King James Version)
I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me. I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred. My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue, LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am. Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah. Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them. And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee. Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish. I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou didst it. Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand. When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah. Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were. O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and be no more.
COMMENTARY:
If an evil thought should arise in the mind, suppress it. Watchfulness in the habit, is the bridle upon the head; watchfulness in acts, is the hand upon the bridle. When not able to separate from wicked men, we should remember they will watch our words, and turn them, if they can, to our disadvantage. Sometimes it may be necessary to keep silence, even from good words; but in general we are wrong when backward to engage in edifying discourse. Impatience is a sin that has its cause within ourselves, and that is, musing; and its ill effects upon ourselves, and that is no less than burning. In our greatest health and prosperity, every man is altogether vanity, he cannot live long; he may die soon. This is an undoubted truth, but we are very unwilling to believe it. Therefore let us pray that God, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, would enlighten our minds by his Holy Spirit, and fill our hearts with His grace, that we may be ready for death every day and hour.
PRAYER:
Most Precious Heavenly Father, Our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. Thank You for the opportunity to once again come into Your Holy presence, in Prayer and praise. Thank You Lord, that You are a loving kind God, that has looked down on us Your children, and seen that we stood in the need of a Savior, and that You came to earth, to suffered the shading of Your Precious blood on that old rugged cross, that took away the sins of all of us, who confess with our mouths, and believe in our hearts and call on Your name shall be saved. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. Lord we are not afraid of any man, we know that You are more then able to keep us. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, that not one Word that was spoken in Your Churches Sunday and every day, has come back void. Thank You Lord that as we all start on our new week, that we are confident that You will make a way out of no way for those who are looking for work, families and marriages that need meading, those of us who suffer from bad health, and we know that if just have the Faith the grain of a mustard seed, they can speak to these things, and that through the Mighty power of Your Holy Spirit, healing in every aspect of our lives will be done. Thank You Lord, that we speak now to all the power of darkness, that have come to hinder the progress of us Your children, for You have told us, For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses, You have told us, My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.' Most gladly, therefore, we will rather boast about our weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in us, for we know that a wise man is strong, and a man of knowledge increases power. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, That we have everything we need through the Holy Spirit, to fight the good fight of Faith. All Glory To God. Thank You. Lord Christ Jesus, we have no fear of death, for we know for sure that, Even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we fear no evil, for You are with us; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort us, For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord, For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord, Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death -- that is, the devil -- and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death,For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace. O' Bless that wonderful name of Christ Jesus, the only name by which any man can be saved. Glory to God, who has given us the Victory, through You, Lord Christ Jesus. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Beloved Lord Christ Jesus, Your children throughout the world, went to church yesterday, to hear Your Holy Word. Bless the pastors who preached Your truth. Thank You that You used the message You had given them, to strengthen Faith, in all who heard. Thank You Lord, that we are ready at all times to make bold confession of our Faith in You our Savior. Thank You that You, guide all Christians so they love truth and take a stand in society, letting others know that there is a standard, set by You, that You command us to keep. Keep us faithful, Lord to Your Holy Word. Thank You Lord, and Savior Christ Jesus. Thank You Lord, that we know through Your Holy Word that, we were to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. You taught us that; He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His loving kindness toward those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us, "This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil, Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary, And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Thank You Lord, so we are leaving all of our concerns this day, and going forth, in Your precious name, and Pray and Thank You that You have already open doors for us that no man can shut, and have went before us, making every crooked road straight. We love You Blessed Savior Christ Jesus, and seek to do Your perfect will. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus Thank You.
Now unto You, who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to You be the power and glory, to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Yourself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives, we give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's bodies and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is Lord Of Our Lives.
