Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
Our Prayer For Today Friday, July 3, 2009
VERSES:
"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
James 1:5
"Then you will discern the fear of the LORD and discover the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity."
Proverbs 2:5-6
PRAYER:
Almighty Creator, Owner of all the universe and everything in it, turn our hearts to treasure the wisdom of your Word, which gives us the riches of your love. Better is a poor but wise youth than an old but foolish king who no longer knows how to take warning. Lord, we need you to lead and guide us in all matters. We seek wisdom, to do Your will. Most Precious Lord, Christ Jesus our Eternal God, the Holy Scriptures reveal Your compassion for the entire world. We come before you for strength and wisdom, in uncertain days. We are not the first to live in challenging times. Such times turn us to Your promises, which alone can overcome our fears. You promised Your people that You would be with them, even in slavery. Hearing their cries, You delivered them. Jeremiah comforted the captives with Your assurance of plans to give them hope and a future. You brought them home. The apostle Paul learned continually to be content. His faith rested firmly on Your Word. We have nothing to fear because the Word assures us that You our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, rule over all things. We tune our hearts to those Holy Scriptures. Precious Lord, and Savior Christ Jesus, Life-giving Spirit, You live in all believers' hearts, be active inside us! Do not let our souls forget the joy of the gospel. Remind us of the truths You taught us, so the song of salvation sings in our souls. When we trust in Your presence, nothing will be able to spoil the day for us. Thank You Lord, Oh Bless That wonderful name of Christ Jesus. The only name by which any man can be saved. Thank You Lord, that You know the needs of all of us Your children, and You have told us through Your word, "The righteous cry, and the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles." "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
"Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
Thank You Lord, Christ Jesus, Thank You. For we proclaim this day, that the things You have promised, are already done! Thank You, Lord for shading of Your blood on the Cross for our sins,Thanks be unto God, who has given us the victory, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Thank You Heavenly Father.Your strengthening voice encourages us, “Be still and know that I am God.”
