Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
Our Prayer For Today Thursday, June 25, 2009
VERSE:
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal
life in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 6:23
THOUGHT:
Our sin earns us death. God's grace gives us life. The
difference between these two extremes? The Cross of Christ which
spans the chasm of our sin and brings us to the mercy, forgiveness,
and redemption of God!
PRAYER:
Holy Father, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You for saving me through Jesus. Christ Jesus, precious Lord Jesus and Savior, we Thank You for paying the price for our sins. Blessed Holy Spirit, Thank You for cleansing us and making us God's Holy dwelling place.
"As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning" (Acts 11:15).
Come into our hearts, Holy Spirit! Fill us with a deep faith and an abiding love for God’s word. Then give us the wisdom and the words to share this message of salvation with those around us. For it is only through the power of the Holy Spirit that we can be true witnesses for our Lord.
Beloved Christ Jesus, We thank You for this day. We thank You for your grace which covers a multitude of our sins. Help us to honor You, and to do your will. Be with our loved ones and keep them in Your care. Guide and direct their paths. Bless Your church in all the world and help her to fulfill her mission of reaching the lost. Be with our soldiers in Iraq and keep them from harm. Be with the sick and the dying, the troubled and the hurting, and all of them that stand in need. Give them rest from their burdens. Make us an instrument of Your love and peace. Thank You Lord, Thank You.
I commend my body and soul into your hands.
