VERSE:
Psalm 10 (King James Version)
Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble? The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined. For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth. The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts. His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them. He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity. His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity. He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor. He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net. He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones. He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it. Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble. Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it. Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless. Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none. The LORD is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land. LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear: To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.
COMMENTARY:
The Psalmist complains of the wickedness of the wicked. God's withdrawing's are very grievous to his people, especially in times of trouble. We stand afar off from God our Lord Christ Jesus, by our unbelief, and then complain that God stands afar off from us. The sinner proudly glories in his power and success. Wicked people will not seek after Christ Jesus, our God, that is, will not call upon him. They live without Prayer, and that is living without Christ Jesus. They have many thoughts, many objects and devices, but think not of the Lord in any of them; they have no submission to His will, nor aim for His glory. The cause of this is pride. Men think it below them to be Christian. They could not break all the laws of justice and goodness toward man, if they had not first shaken off all sense of Christianity, and forsaken Our Lord's desire that we love one another, as He loves us, and do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.
PRAYER:

Thank You Lord, Thank You. Father, so many people in the world are Christians who love you. Thank You that You have given them conviction to stand up for Your Word. that they are reminded that they need to speak of Your Grace with love, gentleness, and respect, that You are also a God of Justice and Peace, and that they are to have no fear of what man can do to them, but to show great courage, and do what is right, and trust in You. Thank You Lord, that You have strengthen them as they live for You, shining Your light to everyone they meet. Thank You Lord, that You have given us a new mind, Spirit of God: a mind less easily distracted by the concerns and pleasures of earthly life, a mind more firmly set on things above. lest if we forget You, O Jerusalem, may our right hand lose its skill. Holy Spirit, draw our thoughts to the New Jerusalem in heaven, where our true life is now hidden with Christ in God. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Lord, You know all of our concerns, we are standing on You Holy Word when You told us that; my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus, He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty, I will say to the LORD, 'My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust! No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn, This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from Me,' declares the LORD, Do not be afraid of sudden fear nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes; for the LORD will be your confidence And will keep your foot from being caught, Inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, You, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. Thank You Lord. Thank You for the love that You have for all of us Your children, Thank You, that we have the victory in Christ Jesus, Thank You, that our hearts and minds are stayed on You, and that we are well able to handle what ever comes our way, because we know that Greater is He that is in us then he that is in this world. Thank You Lord, we stand ready and able in Your Grace and Mercy to fight the good fight of faith. To Your Glory.
Now unto Him who is more then able to keep us, until the day of His coming, We give You Thanks, that this day, most Beloved Christ Jesus, and every day for the rest of our lives. i in the name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in the Holy and Precious name of Christ Jesus, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's bodies and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord Christ Jesus.
Amen.
