" Which Way is Up?? "

Genesis 7:17 KJV

" And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare UP the Ark, and it was lifted up above the earth." (emphasis mine)

Had an interesting conversation with one of my beloved mentors yesterday,,,,my Mom, thought I'd share it with you all.

Our best topics always end with " Food for Thought ", now you all can understand sometimes why my mind goes a mile a minute sometimes, with the Adonai and my Mom, a idle mind does not occur in this soul, conscience or sub-conscience. And in greatfulness, is'nt this is how it should be? They say an idle mind is the devils workshop don't they? And what a better way to fill it, but with the Word of Elohiym/God? Well then praise Adonai once again.

Our topic was this time, " where is our upper room? " You know the one from Acts 1? Since we know in scripture many times there is a shadow of heavenly things to come. For instance, " The Ark of the Covenant " did you know that, that very beautiful instrument that Elohiym said was something that was an example of a heavenly thing that was positioned in the heavenly Tabernacle? The Ark itself was a type of Messiah, Noah was a type of a church or holy assembly safe in Messiah. Elohiym drove that Ark to be just at the right place to rest " in the seventh month on the seventh day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat (Gen.8:4). As the flood waters receded, the Ark was lifted "up" out of the water on the seventeenth day of the month of Abib. Then we see nearly 2400 years later Yeshua/Jesus rose from the dead on that very day! Not a coincidence beloved Divine Planning!!!

I love the way Elohiym seems to delight to have us look for those hidden treasures,,,,don't you? And there is so much more, so we (my Mom, the Spirit and I) through around some thoughts, about the " Upper Room" and the beauty of the spiritual shadow we see. The only way to do this is by testimony of the heart. But first you know how we do things,,,,,

Those of you that have not yet been introduced to ethymology, please inquire! Why is this so important? How many words can you really define accurately? Not just define but are able to reach for the source of its origin at the drop of a hat? See what I mean. This always reminds me of Michael Jackson. Remember the scriptures said that there would be a time when good would be called bad and bad good? Michael came out with that song " Bad " and even as a child or young person, I could see this happen. All of a sudden everywhere you went, that new car was bad, the new outfit was bad, that job you had been awaiting a position at was,,,ya you got it,,,,,BAD. Imagine now what this sounded like to a small child that was just learning the fascinating slang of the english vocabulary. If you asked them to define the word at that time what do you think they'd say? Do you think they would know it would depend on what context it was given? See we get too complicated sometimes!! Or not interested enough. Now just think on the english language, forget that we have various language origins here in the scriptures. How much of it can we really define today say from the english that was spoken in dear King James day? Sure I thought I was even pretty intelligent, but have you seen how big just the webster dictionary is lately? Just food for thought for us Bible Seekers.

Did you also notice how familiar that hebrew word Nasa looks to us? I know you thought about rocketships and astronauts,,,,it's okay keep that in mind!

Okay so got sidetracked, what else is new? Back to the first food for thought,,,the upper room. Sometimes it's those little bitty words that jump out at us, one that we rarely pay attention to. But have you noticed anytime we deal with a higher level of intelligence in scripture whether by physical journey or thought, it's up we go??? Now we can't literally go floating around in the physical, well atleast not yet, would'nt that be neat? But we can float in the spirit to places we dare venture to go in the flesh. The flesh can't handle all this. Our Elohiym is always illustrated as up, our Adonai Yeshua/Jesus was lifted up on the Cross, just before he was lifted up back to the right hand of the Father, he left specific instructions, lets see what happened,,,,

Until the day in which he was taken up , after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen : To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. ( Acts 1:2-5).

The " upper room " is always well aquainted with the wonderful Pentecost experience. As well it should, but theres always a profound experience of obedience that takes place first. Abraham had to get up and leave. Lot had to get up and out of Sodom. The flood waters of Noah's time were dried up (not down).You have lifted up eyes and lifted hands, lifted up heads and lifted up gates, and lastly for now we have a lifted up dwelling place where we may commune with the Adonai in the heavenlies and be granted the grace of the Ruach Ha'Kodesh (Holy Ghost), and be constantly ministered unto in the everlasting kingdom of Messiah (2 Peter 1:11).

This is a topic that stems into two topics that oughta keep us busy for a moment. Hey! I can only give it as I get it. We have the Ark of the Covenant and Tabernacle of Elohiym/God and also the obedience in the instructions of Messiah that grants us a dwelling in what king David called "the Secret Place of the Most High" (Psalms 91:1), so lets just go with the flow of the living waters of the spirit and be lifted up together to get a word from on high.......Oh by the way did I tell you, this happened to be the very first sermon topic the Adonai gave me preach? Now you know theres a testimony behind this. See my whole brand new man or woman if you must, experience started here.
