The law of God was given to teach us of our sin. To show us we are sinners before a Holy God. This law of God was given to Moses and was given as a teacher to all men to teach that we have no righteousness in us. That only God is Holy. Romans 3:9,10;20,

I remember going to a church as a small child, down the street from my home. This went on for a while. My dad was an alcoholic and was never home.
