“I am weary.” That’s what I told God this weekend. And those were about the only words I was able to send up at that moment because I was weary. I had prayed long and hard about something, watched God bring a victory, was enjoying the victory—then saw the situation suddenly sliding back to where it had been in the beginning.
I…

First Peter 3:4 encourages women to beautify themselves with the imperishable beauty of a quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious. “Quietness” stands in marked contrast to the “loudness” that characterizes an ungodly woman (Prov. 7:11). When we think of the word “quiet,” the first thing we normally think of is audible sound. We equate “quiet” with “not talking.”
So does God expect us…

As a firstborn and raised as the only child through adoption at birth, I have a strong desire to please, but I’m realizing I have an even stronger desire not to fail! I asked the ladies in Bible study last week how they would complete this sentence,
“More than anything else I fear____________.” I was the only one who wrote FAILURE in bold letters, but as we talked, we realized many of our responses were linked to a fear of failure.
* Fear of rejection – Will I fail to…

How many of us have people come to you and said that I heard something about you and regardless to what you say they still believe what someone else has said. Pretty much everyone has gone thru that at one point in your life.
In the bible Jesus went thru the same thing, because the clergy wanted him out of the way because he was interrupting their way of doing things. Not only did they lie, they chose a criminal over Jesus.
In my personal life I have been accused of things…

They are the HEALING POWER of LAUGHTER & the RESTORATIVE STRENGTH of JOY! A MERRY HEART is your GREATEST WEAPON against DEADLY EMOTIONS.
LAUGHTER holds as much HEALING POWER as MEDICINE. When you laugh, powerful ENDORPHINS, which act much the same way as morphine, are released in the brain. Endorphins trigger a feeling of well-being throughout your entire body. Many doctors will agree that the diaphragm, abdomen, heart, lungs—& even the liver—are given a massage during a HEARTY…

The Bible tells us "He who FINDS a WIFE finds a GOOD THING...", that means she was a WIFE BEFORE HE FOUND HER! If you're not a WIFE FIRST, you'll just be a woman MARRIED with a ring with no skills, no clue & the furthest thing from being what you're CALLED to be... a HELPMEET because a truly GOOD WOMAN is a WIFE BEFORE she is MARRIED. #RealTalkMarriage101

I used to hate the phrase “playing favorites”. Didn’t you? It seemed so unfair. Just because someone in authority liked somebody else, the favor was bestowed on them. As in a teacher’s pet. Or the glad handing back slapper who was promoted over you. Hmmm. Could that be considered a type of grace? I’m not a theologian but I do know that the word “grace” means “unmerited favor”. Isn’t that exactly what God gives us… unmerited favor? Doesn’t He play favorites with His children. He bestows…
